Indiana Jones and the Replica Grail Diary!

that`s right, my nerd-dom has hit new hights. after reading online about people who had made perfect replicas of Henry Jones`s grail diary from The Last Crusade, i decided i had to have one. of course, i didn`t just want something to look at, i wanted something i could use, so i only put a select few of the movie pages in it. i loved it so much, i thought one of you might like it, too.

thus i arrived at the item you see before you. it is the same size as the movie grail diary, 4.25 by 6.5 inches (~11 by 17 cm) and contains 25 sheets (100 pages, counting front and back), some of which contain pictures and text hand copied from those known to be in the movie prop (see pictures five for some samples). i have made three journals, each with different, randomly selected pictures, so no two are exactly alike. the remaining pages are perfectly blank, eagerly awaiting details of your own personal grail quest! also contained on the inside last page of each book is hitler`s actual signature! (^_^)

the book is covered in dark brown ultrasuede, and the pages have been coffee stained to give them a pleasing aged look. this process resulted in some of the pages looking a little dirty, but don`t worry, that`s how it`s supposed to be. the endpapers are sturdy brown kraft paper, and of course the rubber band you see in the pictures is included. otherwise, it wouldn`t really be THE grail diary, would it? the book is bound using unbleached linen thread and has been built to stand up to all the trials you`ll face while searching for the famous cup of Christ.

Nice work! I did some of the drawings, but I'm not sure how to do the whole binding thing, sounds tricky!
