thin mints

Thu Jan 12, 2006, 1:24 PM

i AM neil gaiman

hello, i'm satan, and i'd like to talk to you about thin mints. as it turns out, i am one of the thousands of Thin Mint Zombies in this world. and of course it's that time of year again, when millions of scary little girls go around knocking on doors -or not, now. as i understand it, they're not supposed to do that anymore- and toting their forms along to gymnast lessons and churches and having their mothers take their forms to work. here's where i come in. miss mary, the other chick in the office, has twins in girl scouts. and so she's here today w/ her little tempting little form, and voila, i'm $9 poorer. soon, of course, i will be approx 114 thin mint cookies richer though, so IT'S ALL GOOD!

the other thing that's all good is abc news. i was just watching their new web broadcast thingy. i'm such a news junkie. i like the news. i liked peter best of course, but next i think is vargas-sama, and then mr. robert woodruff. he went to the university of michigan and has a law degree, but the really cool part is that he speaks chinese. he was in tiananmen square acting as translator for some reporters and he decided to change careers. and now i can watch the news w/ him and vargas-sama at work. i just love new technology.

i also love 53 degrees. that's right. it's freaking january the twelveth, and it is fifty-three degrees outside. it's supposed to be like this again tomorrow, only rain. i'm alright w/ rain, in fact i like it if it's super thunderstorms. it's that slow nasty drizzle that i can't take. if it's gonna rain, then RAIN.

anyhoo. last night i was playing we  katamari? that game rocked my socks. i loved -- i should say, i -ed the first one, and now i  this one, too! there was this one level where hansel & gretel told you to go and pick up the witch's house and bring it back for em coz they wanted sweets. that level was awesome. i flew down that hill and ran smack into a lovely gingerbread house, which i then proceeded to DEMOLISH and run back up to the kids for my sweet -aha- rewards! and a happy movie in which the king of all cosmos smacks the tar out of his daddy. it's no freaking wonder the king is SO messed up. his daddy wasn't exactly the normal type either. although i do like the laser eyes. they can destroy entire planets.

[laser eyes!]

and there was a level where i rolled up cars at a race track. that katamari went super zoom fast! and i got to roll up trees and buildings for the first time in that one. that's what makes katamari sooo great, rolling up trees and buildings. small barrier islands. large fishing boats. heheh.

this has got to be like my third or fourth journal w/ heavy katamari flavouring.

also, i'd like to gush just a small little bit about neil gaiman. i am a short story person, and i'm a bit of a neil gaiman person, so when i saw the short story collection by neil gaiman, i said, oh yeah, THAT is coming home w/ ME. and i was not disappointed. i'm sitting there reading the introduction -yes, i'm the sort of person who reads all introductions- and the man interrupts his own intro to write a story. now what i'd like to point out is: HOW COOL IS THAT? *ahem* also, i'm sitting there reading the intro thinking, damn, is it possible that i AM neil gaiman? the style, the thoughts, they're all so close to mine. so possibly i'm neil gaiman's long lost twin? that would be righteous.

Do you really get 114 Thin Mints for $9?
Reply
:iconyatsu:
yup. $3 a box, approx 38 in each box it says. that makes 114 wafer thin slices of heaven for $9. de-lish!

Wow...38 per box. That's a lot of cookies! My obsession are the coconut caramel ones. They keep changing the name, so I simply won't call them anything! :)
